Maryland Workforce AI Programs
Three Cyber and AI Clinics are working to prepare Marylanders for in-demand careers in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence through a $1.5 million investment from the Maryland Department of Labor’s Cyber Maryland program.
Participants will receive training and hands-on experience while working to strengthen digital protections for community institutions, like schools, hospitals, nonprofits, and small businesses
Organizations offering clinics include Howard Community College, TCecure, and the Center for Critical Infrastructure Security.
The $2 million Maryland Lighthouse Industries and AI Internship Program expands hands-on learning opportunities for students and prospective workers pursuing careers in sectors like life sciences, information technology, aerospace and defense, and manufacturing.
This program helps employers pay for interns’ wages as well as program costs and supportive services that can help interns succeed, such as transportation, childcare, and help locating employment.
The $1M Maryland Lighthouse Industries Upskilling and Reskilling Program helps employers upskill and reskill workers to ensure that they are prepared for today’s real-world workforce needs.
This program focused on industries essential to Maryland's economic growth, including life sciences, technology, aerospace and defense, and manufacturing.
